- Blend: 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Malbec.
- All vineyard operations are carried out by hand, including leaf thinning, green harvesting, grape picking and grape sorting.
- Cold pre-fermentation maceration; vinified partly in 500-litre oak barrels, with malolactic fermentation also conducted in 500-litre oak barrels.
- Aged in 225-litre and 500-litre French oak barrels, as well as in large oak casks (foudres).
- Alcohol: 13.5% ABV.
- Ageing potential: 10 to 15 years.

Jean-Luc Sylvain has transformed this estate, whose origins date back to monastic times, into an iconic name in the Saint-Émilion region. Despite the considerable challenges of the 2021 vintage, he has succeeded in crafting an outstanding Lussac, displaying a deep ruby colour with bluish hues. The nose reveals beautifully integrated fruit aromas that awaken the senses, leading to a palate that is fruity, rounded and powerful, with silky tannins. Carefully judged barrel ageing further enhances the wine’s harmony and balance.
